Hi Gazsa. The scania was used on the Aberdeen trunk with Les on days and i think it was Tom Burn on nights Other drivers were Davie Lothian, Davie Bell, Wullie Stewart, Geordie Hope, Snuffie, Bob “Pop” Cornet and the fitter from Peebles ex Pentland Garage was I think Tam Burns. It was a few years ago now and most of them are now roping and sheeting upstairs.

My dad Mick Norman was based in Nottingham for Kinneils I can remember Geordie Hope ( I think he’s still alive)
Also I can remember Tom Burns he went on to work for Dobbs Transport in Edinburgh
Another driver was Davey Ritchie who went on to J B McBean he sadly passed away last year
