Kids throwing objects off bridges,,,,,caught em!

Although not in my area,i believe that stretch of road is a Highways Agency road.If this is the case, the HA will look at fencing the bridge in,if enough incidents have been recorded.
This is another reason why all drivers must report ALL incidents, regardless of how minor,so figures can show the true problem.

anyone throwing something off a bridge is attempting murder in my book and should be sentanced accordingly, its only luck if it doesn’t come through the windscreen into the driver or passenger, potentially killing them. if someone ramdomly fired a gun into a crowd??

the company is a disgrace as is the justice system, good on ya drive

stevie

I’d have left a few identifying marks that they’d have carried for the rest of their lives. What ratbags… and that’s only the company !!!

I would have to say well done to the driver, his company should be ashamed of themselves. A bit more of the pro active stance would do the country a power of good. Last year had a group of youths throwing stones at the ducks in the river next to our house, I went out and ask them to stop, which bless them they did, then 10 minutes later they started on the house with missiles. Called the Police who arrived 20 minutes later and took notes about it all and warned me against causing more problems :open_mouth: :unamused: I walk to the shops and pass some of them and get a load of abuse, should I just keep my mouth shut, er no  If they thought for a moment someone is prepared to stand up to them then a lot of them would stop, they not very brave people by and large

Bloody well says it all, don’t it. :imp: :imp:

:smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: These feral scrotes should be hung drawn and quartered, :open_mouth: o.k. a bit harsh :open_mouth:
:imp: :imp: Let’s just cut their hands off   No, no, can’t do that, yoghurt nitters will be petitioning parliament.
:bulb: :bulb: How about the justice system actually do something about it, which is what they are payed for, tag them, put them on a curfew, that only lets them out for half hour, make sure that if they are seen near any bridge over a road/M-way/railway line, then it’s into a cell no arguing no second chance “ZERO TOLLERANCE” :exclamation: :exclamation:
IIRC, didn’t a lorry driver die of a heart attack on the M3, some time ago, after a concrete slab hit his windscreen ?

I drove a van through Keighley some years ago. turned into the leisure centre and saw a half brick coming towards me, hit the A pillar and was followed by a fair old barrage of stones, this was at 6.00pm with parents dropping kids off all around, I drove through the one way system and called 999 and was told to contact the local Police station. I went up to the station and they refused to come out to the scene :open_mouth: I think it took me 2 hours of digging my heels in and they bundled into a car and we went down to Victoria Park. I spotted 3 of them straight away, their track suits were very distinctive, Police pulled them up and they said it was not them, that was the end of it, I was gobsmacked… the van looked as if it had gone through a war zone.

Just across the road a few years later at the local Toby Carvery were the wife worked, a brick came through a window, some youths had been refused drinks and took some revenge. The Polish crew ran out and gave chase, brought them back and sat on them until a Police car came, a good 20 minutes after the call to them, the station is a new one and I reckon 500m away. The police came, took notes and let them go, never heard anything more, the guys who caught them were told off for grabbing them so roughly and they might be in trouble bah bah bah, the Poles were incensed, one of them had to be held back from lamping an officer, its crap, total crap.

We lived in a nice enough village which was plagued by feckless youth, they stick neon blue tubes and fill their mothers cars boots with sub woofing madness or just walk around breaking things on spec :imp: My one small crumb of comfort was spotting a few of them as we were leaving the UK and spent an enjoyable 10 seconds chasing them up the pavement in a Polish Hire Van as we exited the village. :smiling_imp: I think the parents were on the ferry however, but at least we are in a country that does do something about this sort of behavior, well perhaps they do, not sure the youth is that fleckless here
