Kidderminster to Hartlepool

…and back.

Having a discussion in the office…leaving at 1000 tomorrow…I say it can be done comfortably…others say it can’t.

Who’s right?

Have you got 10hr drive left?should take 4hrs id say each way.

Cracking run any day of the week, i say do able mate :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Need 10 hr day without question, and I only like to attempt it setting off at 3am

Throw me the keys…

lightning:
Throw me the keys…

Lol…wish you were in at our place…replace some the dross we have at the minute…

lol. Was stopped from going in there as they “didnt want to upset” the agency guys they had in there.

We had to get rid of one of the first ones they sent…after he left the handbrake off and almost wiped out another unit and the side of the warehouse!

They seem to be very choosy where they send me.
I doesn’t suprise me that, I had to shout at one the other day, at Dairy crest Severnside, drove around the yard with the taillift in the down position about 1 foot off the ground… I didn’t dare wait till he went to turn sharply!

410 mile leaving at 10.00 I would say its not a comfortable running time,in fact it maybe a hard push.
Google map it, even in a car its nigh on 4 hours

What is it with you lot? You can easy do 410 miles in a day. Done Holme on Spalding Moor to Keynsham more times than I care to remember during the day and always had time left out of a 9 even though I was hitting Bristol bang in the middle of rush hour.

Fulltimers… :unamused:

He says not leaving til 10.00 not early morning to get there in the middle of rush hour traffic, would not like to think what speed you did if you still had time left out of 9

You’ve only ever done local multidrop haven’t you? :unamused:

How would you get to Hartlepool in the middle of rush hour leaving at 10am? You’d be arriving around 2-2.15pm and Hartlepool or an hour later if you decided to double break it and the A19 from the A1 is hardly noted for its stop start rush hour traffic. In fact the A1 from north of Wetherby is hardly noted for rush hour traffic holdups.

Assuming leaving around 4pm after tipping and having a break, the only congestion he’d hit on the way back would be the tail end of the rush hour traffic on the A1 around Doncaster to the M18. Once on the M18 there’d be no holdups from there to Kidderminster.

Where I am on night trunks going to Lockerbie truckstop having to take the well scenic M62, M6 route because of A1 roadworks or A66 closures that is 430 miles round trip and we manage to do that in 8hrs 30 min driving even including crawling up Windy Hill on the way back at 30MPH.

Stick to local multidrop and leave anything further than 100 miles each way to agency. Its obvious many of the full timers seem to have a problem managing to do more than 200 miles in 9hrs driving.

1st answer is NO
2nd read what I said properly he would be LEAVING at 10.00 meaning Kiddy
3nd Why would you go via the AI M18,on the way back why not A19 A1M MI ■■?

Excuse me agency limper am a full timer and do stuff like that with no hassel so just you stick to multi drop and begging for work limper.

Lollipop you use the M18 to the M1 because it quicker instead of going down the whole M1.Going via the M18 saves time and then you will have more time if it was to be needed.

ROFLMAO. I was joking about the local multidrop but it seems I was bang on. You go A19, A1, M18, M1 because its 15 minutes or more quicker than A19, A1, M1. First week driving trucks is it?

And I know you meant him leaving Kiddy at 10am.

Conor not an Agency Limper as you refer after 45 years driving on “distance work” now retired, good chance i`ve done more miles in reverse than some “full timers”
