Simple remedy …

keep your keys with you !
Imagine doing that whilst taking a 45 on the pumps :grimacing: :grimacing:

I managed to lock myself out in Rungis market once at 2am. -3c and I was in a t shirt, plus my gas bottle was on and kettle boiling inside! I ended up ripping the side locker open and squeezing up into cab!

But could you squeeze through that same gap now though

I got locked out a Renault once and ever since then I leave the window open a bit so I’d still be able to get in .

No not a chance, I’m fat now

I worked in recovery for 3 years, I can tell you it’s not just trucks that do this… however on one particular job I was winching a car out a ditch and had to put the truck across the road due to a dodgy angle. Now my truck is ex AA and they have a cool button that when you press it you can take the keys out but the truck remains running, if you try and drive off it immobilises it’s self. I did not press the button or take the keys out (it’s a Renault midlum) bloody thing locked its self while blocking the road… luckily I kept my lock out kit in a locker which I had forgotten to lock. So after looking like a right ■■■ for 5 mins I managed to break in… that was a stressful day…

Happened to me on a weigh bridge. But we have a shepherd’s hook on the side of the wagon. Climbed on top of trailer, flicked open sun roof, unhooked the door.

Broke every health and safety rule in the place! But wasn’t seen
