Kent to Murcia, any idea of cost?

A friend of mine has asked how much it would cost to get a piece of machinery moved to Murcia from Chatham, Kent at the end of March- it would need to go on a 45’ flatbed trailer, so he says.

It would be craned on and off and at a guess this would take less than a morning.

There would also need to be a 7.5 tonne van doing the same journey at the same time carrying ancilliary equipment.

Would anyone care to speculate on what a UK haulier would want for this, using UK trucks and British drivers?

Autoroutes will give you a route all the way and incudes tolls on the Autoroutes and Autostradas. You’ll have to set the options yourself…

not to shaw about the price for the 7half ton truck to go out there but for the artic you might be looking about 1,500 to 1,700

Ta, that’s pretty much in line with what I thought.

Harry, why dont you get in touch with JJ72…seems its more of his line of work (I think).

If my mate is prepared to pay a UK rate, I will take it myself- we still do some Spain work, but only if the rate is OK- Rosewood etc need not bother phoning us!

I will pass on the ballpark figure to him, but I’ll have to be honest and tell him that a Lithuanian or whatever would do it for a grand, or even less…

Still, fingers crossed!

I would think you want to at least be at 1,700, and to my mind that is too low, if you are going to be paying the ferry and the tolls as it’s 2000 km/1250 miles, give or take a few.

Yes, I don’t think my boss would touch it for less than about £2200. I’ll ask him in the week. I reckon it will go with a Pole/ Lithuanian etc.

Why not use a spanish company as a back load for them and you might even get some work in return you never know.campillo are in murcia they use tilts you can strip one of them down,or they might know of a firm who will do it.

or ask bulgarian or romanian or turkish - more less than pole’s price!

or try with willi betz ? they going to spain a lots!!!

You don’t need a tilt. A good curtainsider with a retractable roof will do the job.

willi betz have a big depot in barca

£1500 to £1700■■ I quoted £1400 for a job in my Sprinter, Derby to Pamplona, including ferries and got the job, so I would’ve thought that for an artic it would be well over 2 grand.

well mate thats the going rate for the english because poles bulgs and spanish can run cheaper, this is how stupid some of the rates are for running spain lkw wanted us to do a job london to madrid 900 quid plus we pay boats we fell laughing, good work to spain is hard to find

Harry,

£2,300 for the artic if it can fit a Euro then maybe slightly less, £1,500 for the 7.5.

We are in Canterbury if your M8 wants a quote!
