just got my rhides card done just got to get my obligatory club hammer and 2 foot scaffold pole then I’m ready for the tricky doors
What does this translate into?
. CONTAINER DOORS AND TWIST LOCKS
Ah ok, I just push a lever to open the back doors.

Glad I found this thread. I recently jacked one crap job due to muppets in planning not knowing how to do their job.
Then yesterday I called two jobs in Leeds, one with Kent Foods, the other shall remain anon… Anyway, goes for interview & assessment with job anon and have taken a start for New Year, good fleet - all office bods and other drivers seem happy bunnies and although the money could be better, good kit and happiness goes a long way in my books.
I’d also arranged a Driving Assessment for Leeds depot of Kent Foods for tomorrow morning. The job was described nicely by a lady in the Glasgow office… 26.5k salary - 48hrs pw, 26 quid per night out and parking paid - any hours over the average are given back in time off, all sounded like a breeze.
Then I read this thread - I think I’ll pass on the assessment and have an extended weekend.
Employers really should realise that the internet (be it forums like this one, social media etc) make it so much easier for potentially good staff to know where to avoid. I know that a person like me would not be happy driving around in crap motors and would get in my car and go home before doing multi-drop in a 7.5 tonner. Ask me to handball anything and they’d be having a laugh… sorry… I’d be having a laugh.
Cheers folks.

FYI, it’s behind me rather than beneath or more correctly ‘below’. I think you’ll also find it’s ‘their’ not “there”.
If that’s too deep, don’t worry… there’s always some hand-balling to be done for the willing and fallshorts?

Thanks for highlighting my spelling mistake (yawn). Saying hand balling is below you haha don’t make me laugh.
You do get job satisfaction sometimes from handball jobs.
good job any off you do hospitals then 26 ton off gas bottles off 26 ton back on with no help it is well paid though

Gunner - I said behind me. I thought that would be too deep for you… or possibly beyond you.
They’re not too bad. I have seen plenty worse jobs for less money! You have to put the hours in a bit sometimes but you take the rough with the smooth…
Glad I’ve revived a dead horse! Lol. Anyway, what I mean is that if anyone is looking for an easy ride i.e. 10hr days and not at all pressed to get anywhere then Kent Foods aren’t going to be your fit. Otherwise they are ok. Sometimes their planning is a little optimistic shall we say, but if you can’t achieve something in your hours then you just need to tell the planner. Same for any job. Basically, not a perfect job - but where is■■?
