Kelsa bars

Is it me or the these new Kelsa metal bars with LED’s in them extremely gay looking and tacky

Everyone and their brother has got them on now and they look cheap and nasty, even though they’re £150+ per bit. The ones I mean are the bars that fit under the edge of the front bumper with an LED on each corner and 3 in the middle and those side bars that fit under the tanks/skirts and also those that fit on the top of the back of the cab with red LED’s in.

They’re really out of fashion already and I wish folks would give up putting them on trying to look ‘cool’. They’re about as ‘cool’ as the blue LED’s on the dash … and now cue Neil for his input in reply to that :arrow_right:

I have nothing to say.

Very Chav.

what do mean daxi?

Well im on my own then

I like them, think they look smart, although im into all that stuff, like all the lights on the lorry. :sunglasses:
Although as nearly every other lorry has got these lo-bars, side-bars etc, it does lose its specialty. :frowning:

As a driver pointed out to me a while i was polishing my dads alloys, he said they wont help you load the truck or get the job done, he was on about how pointless cleaning them is, once he finished this he started on about how people put extra lights on and how pointless this was, i was only minding my own business, wanting to keep my dads truck clean :frowning:

I’m glad it’s not just me that attracts these people that can’t help sticking their noses in where it’s not wanted, needed or necessary

if you can get them at £150 plus vat then i’ll have 3 off you rob.
try something closer to £350 plus vat and add another 100 for the chrome version.
with the new trucks having to have a lower front under run i would much prefer the bars with the lights in than the rubbish they stick on them at the production line that have about as much in the way of looking good as a cauliflour ear.

:open_mouth: :open_mouth: Never.

and they were selling them off cheap at truckfest this year, they knocked about £15 off the price, big deal when you think how little it cost for adonised steel to be made, the profit margin must be huge perhaps even triple the cost.
i reckon a fabricator could make a adonised steel bar up for about £100.
of course it would have to be different from kelsa because they probably have a patent by now for there design.

my personal opioin is they look crap… no not just …crap but CRAP… i hate them especailly when driving at night and they come up behind you.

i must admit i used to be a truck polisher but have now seen the light

I don’t mind so much the proper kelsa light bars, but these new tacky bars of polished metal with 3 little LED’s in them just look really gay, REALLY GAY.

i don’t like the big spot light bars but i do like the under run bar with the little lights in them, they seem not to detract too much from the appeal of the lines of the truck.
i find most spot light bars look grossly over the top, they seem to extend from the truck like mechanical arms and legs holding big lamps.
they must also increase fuel consumption by a few points too, all that extra wind resistance, i can’t understand why they can’t make them look nicer like the new volvo spot lights.
those on the scania at the bottom have to have the bottom grill secured with holding bolts.
