Kellogg's Trafford Park

Morning all,

I have an interview with Bibby at the Kellogg’s finished goods warehouse next week and was wondering what to expect? Has anyone on here worked there? What are the hours like etc, usual stuff. Im assuming it’s pallet work too?

Thanks for your help

Keep us posted please buddy. I have thought about trying to get on there. I’ve heard it’s not a bad gig if you can get in.

I’ve heard some bad reports about the place from some of the serial posters on here

Thanks for the replies, I’ll keep you updated on how it goes. I’ve seen a few negative comments about Bibby’s but I can’t find anything on Kelloggs.

just hope they dont go

snap crackle and POP

The place is full of puffs…

And cereal killers

I’ve heard they’re grrr-eat. Taxi.

i havent work there but did alot of work for kelloggs around 2006. when speaking to bibbys drivers back then its seems like a good number and drivers seemed happy.
they mostly run from the main factory to other sites around trafford park and warrington. not sure what sites are still left but there was center point/ west point and warrington
and its all pallet work and the trailers had rollers on the floor so the load puts itself on and off. drivers just presses the button at the rear of the trailer like a walking floor trailer.

Used to run on a ship up to there years ago with bulk maize for Kellogs …

An ex driver of a few years ago said the shift pattern was strange but worked well. You work alternate weekends with plenty of time off.

It’ll involve decent health and safety and running bent will be a P45 so half on here won’t be interested in applying.

I bet that was an amaizing job to do

If you step out of line you’ll get crunchy nuts…

Job is moving finished products from factory to various warehouses in Trafford Park etc, also runs to Wrexham.
Trailers are loaded and unloaded automatically, even the trailer door is auto.
Interview will include knowledge questions, driving assessment and interview.

Usually loaded in Bayonne or Bordeux, Irish shipping company who run their ships harder than Nolans used to run their trucks …

Dead easy but my god how boring

Enough to fall asleep or not pay attention judging by the 17 plate man write off on back wrecker I saw today. So they deffenetly have a vacancie?

Steady if boring work.Did it a few years ago, the trailers have to be on the bays bob on, they have a locating system fitted, miss the bay you will feel the trailer arse move. The stuff mostly runs on and off by itself, did have the odd technical glitch. The product sits off the wall inside the trailer, so you got to watch the bends, every now and then a trailer would tip and every pallet fell all over the floor. A good thing about that is a couple of the warehouse men where self important ■■■■ and they had to clean it up. Cant comment about wages but Bibby men I talked to did not moan about money, they had a few moans about the shift system tho. Sometime not very organised, take a book. On the whole a very easy job.
