Keep on truckin' (or not)

Couple of wrong un’s caught in Felixstowe.

wow ee drivers flouting the rules say it aint so sam i would never of guessed it

Home nation countries for thet EE muppets just don’t give a sheet about the driver standards. Don’t they have to download cards every 2 weeks to their version of VOSA / DVSA?

Poor sods probably messed up their manual entries. I did it once, I put other work instead of rest, and made it look like I’d been at work for 36 hours. It’s easily done. I got told it was an offence, and if stopped could be fined hundreds. I just laughed and said “whatever” but my boss didn’t take it so lightly.

you cant record driving for 22 hours straight by mistake

Yeah I’m of the same attitude mate.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Firstly just to say I run 100% legal, but with the odd f.up every now and again.

It makes me laugh how some guys get oh so stressed if they go over for 5 minutes or make some accidental balls up.
It’s (purposely)’ got worse last 10 yrs or so I would say…
‘Ooh I’m gonna get an infringement for this’’
So what ffs, they can’t hang you and they don’t own you…and you aint at school.
And don’t get me started on WTD horse sh.

''DVSA are only interested in blokes like in the o/p, blatant and/or habitual offenders.

Do a print out explaining things ffs, let the non job type cream his pants by telling you how serious it is and justifying his existence, and don’t stress about it, unless you are deliberately fiddling it is NOT important.

This one up today.

That truck with no brakes looks like it’s written up for a lgv driving school………

10 days community service for ploughing into a parked car on the A34 due to faulty brakes, and seriously injuring two people.

Wow! I’m actually shocked at that one.

She must be really good looking, or great at crocodile tears.

When I first started a driver had to fill in a PAPER, ONCE A WEEK, LOG SHEET, (always use a pencil so that you could erase any ‘errors’ later). I only once got done, we were doing a changeover and it transpired that nobody had driven the lorry between Wetherby and Doncaster.
Old Fred Chappell gave me an Brian Judge a round of b ollockings.
Happy days. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

What I don’t think we know if it was her wagon and she was driving it knowing it wasn’t in good shape, if she was just a trade plater or agency bod given some keys and sent out or somewhere in between.

I guess so, but surely there would have been, at the very least, an amber warning if the brakes were that bad? If so, it’s her responsibility to act on that.

Last time ( just after dvsa court case ) I forgot to switch over to rest when parking up for night , I noticed after a hour , t/o said put it on break and have 11 hrs off ( only needed 9 ) , we will change your work

Saw lorry immobilised at donington srvs with Amazon tri on it , it looked like a subby ( not one of those grey Amazon motors ) , those parcels are going to be late
