Kates Cabin, Possibly Re-Opening

…But not as an overnight truck stop.
I came across a news article about Kates Cabin being closed, (No idea when it closed as not really been that way since I came off the road about 5 years ago) and saying that it could be reopened in the near future, but not as you know it! Welcome Break has a planning application in to demolish everything on site, and to turn it into a separate drive though coffee and hot food retailer site, with 7 HGV bays which are unlikely to be for overnighting, and more for using the coffee or the hot food establishment with a max waiting time, so looks like the lose of (not a great truckstop as of late but handy now and then) link shows proposed site layout.

At last.

A coffee outlet that includes parking for trucks… not before time.

When they demolish the building, thet can use the rubble to level the site.

Regarding Coffee stop with HGV parking, it will be fine until a car driver sees the empty space.

look how many cars park in the truck park in MSA. :astonished:

Or a wobble boxer pulls in nose first and then finds he’s incapable of reversing back out due to the lorries that have reverse parked either side of him.
