Karl Skilton / Harleywood Haulage Info?

Hi Karl i worked for John Golding Heavy Haulage and what a great man John was a true gent and fantastic engineer who came uo with some amazing ideas and designs to suit some of the projects that he had to move around the country. All credit goes to his Son Mike who worked painlessly and for hours sometimes to modify a trailer to shift something or other from one end of the country to the other. When i worked for them John had invested in Scania and Volvo having let go of his passion for Yanks but after id left he did shortly before his untimely death did buy another Kenworth or two so good on you if you have imortalised the name John Golding Heavy Haulage

Hi,
My German friend, He is interesting into middle east trucks transports, He would like to know more information about Owner driver - Karl Skilton with his Scania 143 with an extended cab and driving for Harleywood Haulage from Gloucestershire.

The picture taken in May 2009 in Germany, He is more interesting if he is still out there around the Europe or Middle East roads? because his truck has Saudi Abaric Transit plate and some toll sticker / Vigettene from Eastern Europe

Do you know something about the company or this particular truck or do yuo got other pics?
Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks Ben.

karl quite afew of us around gloucester are wondering why u have goldings heavy haulage across the front of one of your volvos ? cheers graham

Graham, you are indeed correct !.I just go on here every now and then, .Now, where to start, ,.The truck with john golding on it, is a matter of respect for the decessed man, who i never met, but i am sure i would have got on famously, also you may have noticed the private plate j6 hhl, which was bought of there family. As you probably guessed i took over some of there work for which i am gratefull. I personlly did four trips to middle east last year, 3 to qatar and one to doman , near bahrarian. Sadly the economy fell on its arse so i had to come back and concentrate on keepiung things going. While she was parked up we totally rebuilt the motor and she will be ready to go again mid february. My good friend bill hancock will probably be taking her out or another driver who has been down before. We done a few weird ones, what do ya want to know. regards

fair play karl when u have time can u put some stories about your trips to the middle east and pics of the abnormal loads u carry not to mention the scannie
