Nice shot of Grahams new Octopus Steve !! Loaded with Pulp wood for Bowaters Ellesmere port or possibly Pit props for an NCB mine ! I see it had the Albion diffs so it might have had the 600 Leyland rather than the 680 !! Well done ! Dennis.

I recovered one of Grahams Atkinson 8 wheelers from a garden at Allensford on the A68, I think the driver missed a gear and ran back down the bank into the garden dumping his load of pig iron, hired a crane in with a magnet to lift the load. They are probably still digging them up now. Recovered the vehicle back to Bass Lake after the commissioners had examined it.
