Well done mate.
If you dial 999 it will get through as the signal is boosted for these calls. I have made two where I never have a signal and got straight through each time.

Well done
as others have said well done . think first aid should be taught in schools or part of the test
It is part of the car driving test now isn’t it ■■
Well done that man btw

You had experienced most things life on the road can throw at you!..Was going to a farm drop way out on the coast this morning here in pembrokeshire, going down a narrow back road when i met an elderly lady in a landrover, she started to back up then began to veer into the hedge blocking the road, first thought was bloody woman drivers! then as I got closer I saw something was up, ran to landy to find the lady slumped over & gasping for breath , no phone signal , nobody about , no house near, a dog going mad in the back trying to get me through a cage, I checked her pulse, spoke to her but she couldn’t answer , went through her handbag to find a phone or some ID or medication , nothing but an asthma pump… gave it a shake and a few pumps , got her to breath slowly and relax , after a few more pumps & about 40 mins she came round & said she was good to go, didn’t want a doctor or ambulance or to be driven back home , just to get on her way…I was quiet taken back afterwards, how different it could of been , my first thought was heart attack , she was in her 70s & quiet a large lady, & if the dog hadn’t of been caged I wouldn’t of got near to help…
Just goes to show what I say is right ! “Driving a Land Rover can save your life”

The networks have always worked together for emergency calls too. For example if you are on Orange but have no signal, the emergency call will automatically use any network so will go through an O2 signal for example.
Same works for pay an go phones without credit, and also phones with no sim cards in, as far as I know.
Lucky for me I’ve worked in roles where a first aid course is part of the job , talking to the misses & others they all said they would not of had a clue what to do other than panic themselves, I’ve always felt a basic first aid course should be a must for all, maybe a good idea would be to have dcpc module as a first aid course, it was a scary time , I genuinely thought it was the end of the road for her, I don’t think I would of been able to get her out the landy if it ment doing chest compression …but thanks for positivety, I do feel proud now …
And rightly so!
You are right, of course. Everyone should have at least a basic knowledge of first aid.
But there is a fatal flaw in your plan about including it in the DCPC. This would make the course useful and so the EU would never allow it!
sorry that is the biggest tripe I have heard!!
slowly pumping out of breath, you did use two fingers for the pulse and where did you check should never be in a moist damp place well at her age dry and crusty!!! obviously she didnt want the police to turn up they would of chalked her off for a 9 hour break, no phone or ■■■■■ or medication just an asthma pump in bag.
You forgot to take your medication by the looks of it…
■■■■ me, it all happens to you,
You have the kind of excitement slimeyphil can only dream of.
Well done for saving some old bag who was passed it anyway.

Kemaro, you’re not the same driver whose brakes failed on the M1 through Hertfordshire a few years back (and the truck was stuck in gear and you phoned the Police to clear the road and you made national Radio & TV and yad dah yada)…Just asking like
