What road was this on?
I fail to see what’s wrong with the signs.
Is Orys the Polish version to Curryfast?

Blimey, invoking the Vienna Convention now, just when I thought you couldn’t get any more pom…no, I’ll leave itYeah, Vienna Convention… Yet another bloody people who try to tell Britain how it should do their things
I was thinking more of you at the side of the road after an accident pompously saying ‘Well I’m in the right, those signs don’t exactly meet the Vienna Convention’. Is there a polish word for anorak?

Yes, it’s anorak believe it or not
Orys is 100% right…

Wasn’t that you who said that IF the accident happen, blame would be on someone who comes from the side of the blue sign? I merely explained why it would not.
As for me, I would of course proceed in caution only, as the signs were obviously hung by some idiot, so you never know what could happen, so I would not have any accident.
Anorak translated to “kurtka z kapturem” if you really such a person who has to pursue irrelevant facts

Then you should either surrender your license or go to specsavers

Orys is 100% right…
Of course I am… I am really amazed with amount of energy spent by some people trying to prove that there is nothing wrong with these signs and that I cannot drive

And just when you think Orys couldn’t sound anymore pompous. The disdain for me coming across in that comment its utterly crushing, I don’t know how I shall ever recover, woe is me. *

How can a thread about a road sign that might be upside down end up with 4 pages of dribble?

Because its trucknet…
99.9% posted these days is crap, with the odd bit of useful information…
I decided to create a Trucknet Venn Diagram…
For the sake of fairness I did place myself on it, midway between cantankerous and pompous as you can see. You can’t accuse me of not being self aware…
*I’m aware of the irony of this after accusing Orys of having too much time on his hands

That made me smile
TBH, what is really funny, is that I posted the pictures and expected that we will all just laugh “ah, signs put wrong way, how silly, hahaha” and get over with it. Then I became quite surprised with amount of people, who can’t see what’s wrong with them. But that still OK - it took me a while also to realise what is wrong with these sings where I was there. No big deal here as well.
I am just curious of how much time you and some of your collegues will waste on trying to get to me one way or another to avoid admiting that I was right about the signs being put wrong way and you were wrong why trying to say that there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. It’s fascinating how you first tried to show that there is nothing wrong with the signs and it’s only me who can’t drive, suggesting that I do not understand British highway code etc, then since you failed on that ground, you are taking it into personal level trying to portray me as someone who makes problem of nothing where the real issue here is that you wasted four pages on all that crap instead of just admit “you are right: signs are put wrong way”
And I don’t even care that you admit I am right, I am just curious how deep into stupid discussion you go to avoid doing that

Yep, I was clearly adamant all along you were wrong and the signs were perfect. I must have imagined my second post then when I said that there was indeed a minor issue with the signs. After all what Orys says is true is always true. Clearly irrelevant what I actually post, Orys will just make it mean whatever he wants it to mean. It’s fascinating how long you went on to prove there is something wrong with the signs, despite many of us accepting that fact early on. You’d start an argument in a empty room.
switchlogic:
Ok so there is a minor issue, really don’t think it would cause non English speaking drivers a problem though, the concept with red and white arrows is used all over europe, most would get it without thinking twice.Oh and nice use of the old ‘so called professional drivers’ Orys. Maybe some of us just don’t have sign OCD and don’t really care
Oh and I didnt try to portray you as someone who makes problems out of nothing. You did that perfectly well yourself.
This has always raised my OCD senses.

Yeah, and all the following posts with you proving that the signs are OK, as long as the arrows are OK were just because there is not enough bytes of data in the Internet
Oh and I didnt try to portray you as someone who makes problems out of nothing. You did that perfectly well yourself.
Ah, so I imagined all these posts where you are trying to do it. How good that we both have such a fruitful imagination, thanks to us the internet is saved and new content can be created ad mortum defecantum
