Well if its not worth watching…

Yep, made me chuckle, bloke took it on the chin though. Bit that made me laugh was when the narrator described John’O’Groats as Britain’s most northerly point. Summed up these genre of programmes, talking everyting up to sound important.

Dunnet Head is Britain’s most northerly point

I’m going to be a ■■■■ now and say you’re incorrect. On the British Mainland it’s true Dunnet Head is the most northerly, but in Britain, Out Stack is the most northerly point and Skaw is the most northerly settlement.

Yes I know I’m an arse!

PS if you’re from London or the Home Counties, anything north of Luton counts as ‘abroad’…

That reminds me of the old pub quiz question :

What is the most Northerly, Easterly & Westerly & Southerly state in America?

Alaska, Alaska, Alaska, Hawaii.

I’ll bite, how is Alaska the most easterly?

m1cks:
I’ll bite, how is Alaska the most easterly?

The International Date Line goes through the Aleutian Islands (Alaska)
so Alaska is both the most Easterly and Westerly.

North and South are definitive - there is a North and South Pole but no East and West Pole. East and West are relative not absolute. You need a reference point from which to work to determine east and west, in this instance the reference is the U.S. The Aleutian Archipelago straddles the meridian so it is both… :sunglasses:

We once took some trucks between New Zealand, Fiji and Hawaii.

One week we had Monday Tuesday Tuesday Wednesday.

In another week, coming back, we had Monday Wednesday Thursday.

. . . in that order.

Weird.
