Just curious

Probably not worth a new thread, but I’ve heard recently fuel tanker drivers aren’t allowed to use their mobile phones, and can’t carry lighters.
Is that only when their are out loading and unloading or even in their cabs?
What else they aren’t allowed to use/do?
What about having an electric cool box, powered by cigarettes socket, what about using mobile phones in cabs, what about switching night heaters on,what about using their sat nav and charging them throught the ciggy socket, is that also forbidden?
If they tramp and some of them I know do, what about heating meals, how do they go about this? Surely they can’t use their gas powered stoves, even if it’s inside their cabs.
Just curious.

all the major petrol firms you cant carry any of the above or plug anything into the cab. mabey the odd indi may allow it but they will have to hand them in at loading point .phones can cause static sparks

Don’t the motors have special electrical systems in them or something ie starter motors?
