TrucknetUK , Truckersworld & ADUK all have very similar page designs - is this a coincidence or have they been designed by the same person

i think it is some sort of off the shelf forum software most forum’s have a similar layout only the colours seem to chnage ma missus is a member of a ghost type website and tis the same as this

Your right Gonzo.
Right at the bottom of every page it says “Powered by phpBB Â© 2001, 2005 phpBB Group”, the php bit I don’t know, but the BB bit stands for Bulletin Board. I’m pretty sure that most Forums will have something similar on them if you look in the right place.
The software that TruckNet uses has been modified quite extensively though…

That’s very interesting. I’m a member of a German rock music forum and the bottom of their forum page has this:

So I guess that the forum software you mentioned is fairly widespread.
Their forums aren’t quite as functional as TNUK’s and there’s no chatroom, so is it that their software is an older version than TNUK’s??
BTW, I tried http://www.phpbb.de and it works!!

You can take a look: http://www.rock-of-ages.de When you land, just click the Union Jack, then click “boards” and you’re into the forums. It’s the website for a particular annual festival, so it’s a very small forum compared to TNUK, but there are links to other rock music stuff.
