Hi all, could someone let me know if you need a DQC card to drive a merc sprinter van with a plate weight of 3.5ton, only asking as a DPD who drives same van said that they don’t need DQC to drive them, as I understand it you need one for any thing 3.5t or over.

not needed the clue is in “over” 3.5t although in my experience they often are 
As said, in excess of 3.5 tonne brings in a whole set of rules: tacho, O licence, vocational driving licence, driver cpc (subject to use) the list goes on!
And this is the main reason folks run up to 3.5 and avoid bigger stuff if at all possible.
