I’ve offically got myself a full time job driving good money using refridgerated lorry, ill b using a digital tacho which I haven’t used b4, any adivce for first time drivers would be great
any of the drivers already working there will be the best source of information, where the drops are, available delivery times, tight spots to get into, a cup of coffee bought whilst waiting to load / unload is worth hours in time, beware the loud ones, seek out the ones that quietly get on with the job. i cant remember who wrote this but it is true, the only stupid questions are the ones you did not ask.
Any advice thanks I appreciate that, bit nervous maybe cause I’m jumping into the big pool, I know they are man vechicles not sure if there geared or altomatic. What to do when I get there ? It’s at buckinham food sandwich factory meats etc
Gadsby as Hotel Magnum says, dont be afraid to ask ! I remember a few years ago i did 2 weeks agency work out of buckingham foods tamworth, id only recently passed my test aswell, really looked after me day 1 i went out with one of there drivers who showed me the ropes and for the rest of the time it was off you go see ya later. Im sure your going to enjoy it, just take your time and like i said dont be afraid to ask if your unsure of anything !

Its going back a few years, it was early morning starts, i drove the unit to buckingham foods milton keynes to pick a loaded trailer up, then i had a drop near heathrow airport, boots at chelmsford then back to tamworth, nice easy day, i did the same run for the 2 weeks i was there and really enjoyed it.
