If I was to leave my current job and didn’t want to tell my employer where I’m moving, would he be able to find out where I’ve moved if he wanted to?
That’s providing my new employer wouldn’t be requesting references.
Thanks

No, unless you leave owing him money or create an illegal act, then he can get you traced its up to you if you tell him or what you tell him.
Do companies these days ask each other for driver’s references?

yes
How can us drivers get references of companies we are planning to apply to work for, if posting honest opinions on this board is forbidden?

You can’t get a reference off a company you are planing to apply to work for, its impossible.

This makes no sense in relation to what you posted above. However, posting honest opinions on this board is not forbidden.
I worked for “acme haulage” and i thought they where crap and i didn’t like them…is acceptable.
I worked for “acme haulage” and they force you to run bent…is probably not acceptable, unless you want to post it with a verifiable name and address.
[edit] i’m on it now. YOu want a reference about the company you are going to potentially work for ?
The above still applies.

Would you care to tell us why such a decisive yes? any examples?
My last driving job, no one even asked me for any CV or references.
My current job, and I changed job just over a month ago, had to send my CV , but no one even asked for any references, or name of a person to contact for references.
I applied for some other job, got an application form, and had to provide 2 most recent references (companies I worked for), names and phone numbers.

Why it doesn’t make sense what I posted above? It makes perfect sense to me.

my current job i have needed 3 recent employers references which they got and checked. any other job i’v applied for i’v had too give last 3 employers for refrences
When i was sewing mailbags, they never asked me what experience i had, or the names of 2 references, just sat me down then told me to get on with it.
