a friend of a friend has told me dvla has had his digi card for 15 days.is he ok to drive a hgv tomorrow,his boss says he is.dvla says his card is ‘in the post’.any quick replies will be much appreciated!

Legally a driver can only drive for 15 days while waiting for a driver card, the driver could phone DVLA or the DVSA and see if they will OK him to carry on driving and give him a reference number to quote if he gets stopped, if not it’s legally a no no I’m afraid.
The card being in the post isn’t much use as he needs to have it in the tachograph, well unless he’s driving a vehicle with an analogue tachograph that is.
