Junction 13 Truckstop (M.K./Bed) never again

went in the cafe and asked for a shower, she told me there was someone in it so would have to weight 10-15 mins presuming I was next (fair enough) so I said I will pay you now any way
weighted 1/2 hr, heard her talking about the shower key to someone so I asked her if it was available
She said there is someone weighting before you so you will have to weight in the queue
Said I would just like my money back please, she cringed and handed the money over with out question, then I left never to return again

We can all complain about bad service and being ripped off but to be treat like a second class citazen coz one of her friends is there or someone who is paying for parking should be given priority
If the shower is that full then she should have another one fitted
I know I have complained about truck stops before on hear but to be honest 95% of them are not worth ■■■■■■■ on if they where on fire

I thought about opening one myself
Find an old abandoned pub (that belongs to the brewary) next to an industrial estate with wagons parked on it
Lease it off them, scrub it up with a lick of paint fit a couple of showers and a washing machine; do an all day breakfast menu open from 6am ect. and hire some strippers twice a week
Well I would not have much compertision would I now :exclamation:

Sounds like a plan.
Let us know when you’re up and running…i might nip in for a shower

Sounds like the Dock Road in Bootle in the 80’s :sunglasses:

you find me a pub somewhere and I’ll open it

There’s plenty shut down all over the country and being turned into tesco express or curry holes.

Good point about the strippers. They used to be at the truckstop in Thurrock.
The place was packed when they were on.
She would have a pint glass that you put your cash in.
Why no more strippers anymore ?

Welcome to the snooty age of the new ago goody two shew socialist brittan (from Blairisum)

The top truck stops have all gone upmarket and now catering for family meals (families in a truckstop hummm :unamused: )
The goverment dont want anyone having any enjoyment in life (welcome to forcing the world into slavery 21th century style) they would rather we sat at home watching internet LOL  rather then us meeting up as a group and contergressing forming an alliance ( and poss protests  ) and thus the term ‘us driver stick together’ and overturning them
Why do you thing they brought out the smoking ban! Shut the pubs down, silence us and make us week

What happened like…

Though Merseyside would be the venue for a truckstop
Dose not seam to be many truckstops in that area at all and with it right on the ireland main trunk road in and out I cant see why there is not a good truckstop there or why one had to shut down

But after all ‘the future is knowsley’ so they tell us

Is this the one (Langton Castle) by any chance :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

guaranteed if it opened the doors again, there would be treble yellows for 5 square miles around it within a week. plod wouldn’t let you park there as the queue of tealeafs waiting in line to rob you would stretch to lymm. to be fair, its got a brown door now,and it looks more suited to being a truckers delight knocking shop with all the rooms upstairs. full fryup and a rubdown please

the flouch inn would make a good truck stop no neighbors to complain about the noise smelly trucks

How many here can remember the strippers (and beer in plastic glasses) in the Red Lion at Aldgate?

(Ye gods, I must be getting old!)

I think it’s just changed owners again, went in last year for a meal, was very good, but - as you said - it’s in the middle of nowhere

That place was right next to the port as well

But since your from Ireland they tell me that there is the place where you just cant find a truck stop anywhere apart from the M1 (never been myself though)
