Johnny Foreigner driver cpc

UK drivers need the driver cpc by sept this year, but some EU states have kicked it into the long grass till 2016. If Johnny Foreigner wants to drive in the UK after the September deadline will her need cpc?

Not if their country has a 2016 deadline - VOSA have a list of which require it when

UK driver in a 2016 deadline country will need it as they have the same list

Its very unfair allowing it to be done like this

Spain and poland have made it 2016 so thats all the foreign trucks mostly thats over here

See pages 15-17 for the full list of dates of each EU country. Some even depend on the age of the driver or the number sequence of their licence!

It is 2014 for Poland.

France has had a far more stringent system in place long before the DCPC became enacted- - lookup FIMO… and to be correct the current UK DCPC would not pass the French FIMO requirements, so we don’t have it the worst…

Not correct Rikki, the UK DCPC is perfectly acceptable for France.

I’m Hungarian and when I booked my driving course in the UK, every Hungarian called me an idiot, cos I could buy a licence over there. Money talks in Eastern Europe, mate.

NO they will not. My firms late shift driver has to go back on forklifts at mo he has just paid for himself to go back Lithuania for 2 weeks to take course. He couldn’t get all of it done due to the high demand and backlog ,he now has to go back at end of March to try and complete It’s easier here

don’t think meant it like that Craig! as in the dcpc wouldn’t be able to lace the boots of FIMO! :sunglasses: dcpc and dqc in Europe will pass every border but it’s a chocolate fire guard! :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

Fair enough fella. I’m doing the French equivalent in two weeks’ time so will be better able to compare the two versions after that. From what I hear the quality of French training varies as much as it does in the UK :unamused:
