If the John Mitchell driver who was on the m73 this morning (just as you leave the M8) at around 1010 am is on here, can I ask, how long did it take you to notice your container door was swinging around open?
I only hope you noticed before you left the motorway and it met some poor unsuspecting road sign just doing its job!
Is that who Dozy’s working for now?
Had that happen once before but I hadn’t made it quite as far as a motorway… Probably picked it up from a container depot where they can’t be bothered to shut the doors, only push them too, easily missed when you walk round to lock it down especially if you don’t know to look for it (as I didn’t, I do now)!
Followed a stobrats wagon down the M6 on a,luckily for him…quiet sat early morning his barn door was open swinging about, tried flashing him for a good couple of miles but he totally ignored me,must of seen me as it was dark and I was flashing him a lot,…I turned off for services for my break and rang 101 left them to deal with it.
I once flagged down an oncoming lorry and told him his rear doors were swinging open.I said I hope that its supposed to be empty cause if not it is now.
We had a driver covering a run for us not so long back who left the roller shutter open on one of our little 10m trailers while he drove from one delivery point to another inside a hospital. You’re probably all thinking “Where’s the problem with that?”. Problem being that he also had the cantilever tail-lift extended (with a pallet and pump truck on it)…
