Concrete pipes on flatbeds whenever I’ve seen them.
thanks for that
Yep, big concrete drainage pipes. They are currently delivering them to a new road project in Taunton. Assume they do other stuff as well!
I know he had a wagon and drag or 2 on for Maritime a few years back.
Tippers aswell
thanks to all replies , bit more of an idea now
Blocks, bulk, concrete castings… Saw one on containers last week too. Mixture of new and second hand on general and contract. Think they’ve got a fairly large, mixed fleet.
That’s my truck, or was until I quit last night! I was on the tipper side of things, very good company to work for, paid a good amount weekly, john and his son are very easy going, kit is all looked after and less than 18 months old unless your on the rigids. Work is mainly pipes on flat beds. I wouldn’t have quit as it was a very good job but the love of my life for the last 7yrs asked me to as I think she didn’t want me working away anymore and our bigtop/marquee hire business is beginning to take off so going to concentrate on that. Oh and he’s had a trainee on for him for the last year on a part time college course started off on the basics, checking tyres on the fleet, washing the lorries and now he’s driving one of the wag n drags and using the hiab, not bad for all in a year and getting paid for it…tell your stepson to go for it!
Crikey, seems like everyone’s quitting or struggling for drivers. Think I might have to start stockpiling my larder with essentials for the autumn.
