Ive tried keeping up with it before when in the E10 but it isnt going to happen! one day he might let me drive it!

A173 PTL is dad’s old lorry. He had it from new until he got F reg E14 320 ■■■■■■■ eaton twin split with eminox stack. Sounded the dogs lol. They still run the stillage trailers but now they lift up/down on air rather than pto. Dad did over 30 years at John Brash until he retired couple of years ago.
I used to load treated timber from the quite often It was for Blyth Harbour for Exporting To Russia, They were a great set of lads that worked there, They had the load on in a flash, Regards Larry.

Yes,nice photo JD.They’ve been going a few years.They used to have some step frame type trailers for carrying timber with tandem axles and small wheels.Looks like their address is the same as I remember - “The Old Shipyard”.

thats right im sat at the " the shipyard " at the minute. they have a variety of trailers and carry alsorts of timber including trusses.
Did you notice the nodding donkeys?
They used to have a very tidy ERF fleet and at least one Leyland Roadtrain, I seem to remember.
Were there any EC ERFs left in the yard?

i didnt see any no, but then again i didnt look that hardbut next time i go il have a better look round.

Saw one of their EC’s about a month ago, pulling a tandem with demount timber craddle with what looked like kerroin on board.
