A 31-year-old jogger was killed after falling into the path of an oncoming lorry, police have said.
Lancashire Police said it is thought the man fell into the road as he jogged along grass verge on Wigan Road, Bamber Bridge, Lancashire, on Wednesday.
A spokesman said the man suffered fatal head injuries in the incident close to Sandy Lane at about 19:00 GMT.
Sgt John Jennings-Wharton, of Lancashire Police, said officers were appealing for witnesses.
