Joda Freight

Cant seem to find much about Joda on here, I was Jodas first apprentice mechanic back in late 80s, they hadnt been going long, they used to have the big grey garage on crosshills roundabout where the petrol station is now and the offices were portacabins down the yard where the maintenance dept is now, they had an old sed atki 401 6 x 2 tag with a straight 8 gardner (ELY 951T), a 4 x 2 F10 with a semi high roof (C419 DBH), DAF 2800 tag axle (B231 OAJ), Scania 111 cant remember the reg but remember stripping the engine second day after I started, water in the oil the O` rings around the liners had perished. Few other motors and trailers besides. God the things you start to remember, must say they taught me alot and gave me a good start in life, hilarious and good memories and stories about Joda. Happy new year to all.

I see one or two of their wagons on the Hull ferry on a Sunday night, shipping out.
