Yesterday after dropping off a volvo in Swindon I decided because it was a nice day I would hitch home because the trains from Swindon run East to West and I was going north.
I got a lift to the Esso station on the A 419 near cricklade off the guy I had delivered to. I stood on the slip road for about 2 minutes holding my trade plates up, when the garage manager(jobsworth) came out and told me to move on.
I told him I would be glad to move on as soon as i got a lift. He then said ,if I didn’t move right away he was going to send for the police.I obviously laughed at this and told him to go away and stop mithering me, He then spotted my Man City shirt that I was wearing and started being abusive towards northerners, Man City fans in particular, saying we all thought we were big and hard from Manchester.I told him to go away and sell petrol and leave me alone, he then made a cowering move and said that all this was going on camera and he would say that i had threatened him.just then a transit van pulled up and asked me were I was going to,The (jobsworth) jumped in front of the van and started taking his number, saying he was going to report the van driver for stopping on a private forecourt for purposes other than to fuel up.The driver told him to eff off and then the (jobsworth) sat down in front of the van and said we were going nowhere until the police arrived, the ■■■■■■ driver just reversed off and went round the pillock.
Sounds to me like he was on a day pass.
Adds a bit of entertainment to the day though
You should of waited for the police to arrive to remove him from his own forecourt lol.
“Care in the Community” programme?
I think it’s Ex-cons who get put into places like Travellodge, so I’m guessing that forecourt jobs are the bread and butter of the “recently released”.
What an aerosol…
What do you expect in the swindon area… “are you local■■?”
Thanks for that. Funniest thing I’ve read all year!
Made my day!
Good god, sounds like he left his jacket with no arms at home…thanks for sharing though rocky, brilliant.
Yep, at one time this pillock would have been somewhere safe, for his own and the publics protection.
Now they are chucked out onto the streets, nutters and vulnerable easy targets alike, no bugger knows if they are taking their medication, anything can happen to them or anyone they come into contact with, and it does.
Pity you hadn’t recorded it, would have made a youtube gem.
Next time your down that way can you call in and ask for the video, we need to see that!
You would have thought that once he sat down in front of the van his mum would have come to take him away back to the home
I wouldn’t worry about it, as soon as you go further west than Newbury they are mostly all inbreds so their brains aren’t fully developed.
Most of the extras in Deliverance were actually cast from Swindon.
Well i am sat in truck reading this and i have tears in my eyes laughing at this.
reminds me of a fella a couple of weeks back pulls in front of me and starts breaking, taking me down to 35mph on a 50 mph dual carriage way, so I pulls around him and i see him writing on a piece of paper while driving, he followed me for 20 miles and pulled in to a lay-by after me so I pulled out and he then follows and pulled in to the next lay-by after me when I get out and ask him whats the matter he said all you truck drivers think you can bully and intimidate other road user,s and said he was going to call the police but what he didn’t know until I told him that would be fine by me because I have a dash cam and every thing was on vidio ■■? he then drove off giving me abuse as he went…
I agree with the forecourt manager, you should have been arrested, for causing offence!!

Off topic here…
Driving (my car) on the M6 Southbound, north of B’Ham approaching the M6/M6 Toll split, I was in lane 3 doing about 75 MPH overtaking a couple of cars doing 65/70 in the middle lane, fully intending to pull back in as soon as it was safe. Focus driver speeding from behind decides to play the ■■■■ and sits about TWO METRES from my rear bumper, this isn’t an exaggeration! I get people who are in a hurry and sit a little too close and just let it go, but at 70 MPH + I wasn’t gonna let this one go. I played the HWC to the letter and took my foot off the gas, no brakes, and slowed down… And down… And down… To sub 25 MPH in lane 3, with matey boy reducing the distance from 2 metres proportionally, hence the continued reduction in my speed. It would be unsafe to move back to lane 2, as the traffic was now undertaking both of us by at least 40-50 MPH. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t having a chuckle by this point, but then the pillock takes out his phone and I see the camera light flash through my rear view mirror, seriously, how stupid can you get, when there’s nobody else in the car and you take a picture from what is clearly the driver’s side of the car, on the motorway?!
Once he admitted defeat and moved to lane 2, I brisked away, only for him to perform the predictable (give it the beans in lane 1 then just beat me back into lane 3, causing much panic amongst other drivers).
When I overtook him a mile later and matched our speeds for a second or two, did he have the balls to look across and make eye contact?
Course he ■■■■■■■ didn’t
