Yes, but we now have thousands of scummy immigrants who will work for peanuts cos 15 live in one house and they ‘acquire’ diesel. Also most of their wage goes home to skiland and isn’t spent here.

I didn’t vote for parties who sold and destroyed our country, but millions did bribed with their own money borrowed in their name by shyster lying traitorous politicians, all three main parties are the same they have no interest in our country or its independence or traditions they have eyes on their own well heeled futures and power, and the ever expanding and totally unaccountable EU has great potential for ambitious politicians, think Kinnock etc…in fact why we still have a parliament X2 incl the lords is a mystery, we only rubber stamp EU directives these days so we could make the lot of the useless sods redundant and no bugger would miss 'em.
The answer for us as British drivers is IMO to be better than the competition, cheapest is not always best, most good jobs and companies that i know of are not staffed by many foreigners but those few so employed are usually good, good companies take their pick carefully and recruit mainly by recommendation seldom through adverts, a good well spoken and presented Brit does still have a huge advantage.

Try Gumtree and Eures,type in the country where you want to work.And Rapido too.
You need to call companies, knock on doors, sending cvs in the post is no good. If you want that job work hard to get it, cvs dont mean ■■■■ anyone can get a good cv written up. By calling or knocking on doors shows your serious, put yourself across as being sharp and on the ball ready to do a days’ graft.
if you dont mind containers try ringing a few in the felixstowe area as a lot are now basing trucks up here, james kemball being the latest, they dont have an office as such in middlesbrough so all hiring/firing is done from down their end

try reed boardall down at boroughbridge, not too far from mboro, and they are always looking for c & e drivers

Just go to your area write down the name and address of every haulage company within the radius you want to work and get in the car and visit them.
I also check the haulage companies web site. I did speak to someone a couple of weeks ago who told me they were sorry but nothing going, she then said ‘I see you called a couple of months ago’(which I had). She then went on to say that the boss of this particular company would look at how many times someone had rang enquiring about a job and that this goes in your favour as it shows your keen to get on with them. Needless to say I will continue to ring.
