There is always Droitwich, Evesham or Gloucester depending which way you fancied pointing out of Worcester as they’re all pretty big Class 1 hotspots.

I used to work there, and Im glad I have gone! they have a shocking attitude to staff, and that creates a massive turnover of staff. Morale is so low even long serving drivers ( those that are left are looking elsewhere).
The kit - albeit modern is ragged and banged to s?*t.

I’m there at the mo, I think it ain’t too bad, work is simple enough and I usually stay out of the major cities and the vehicles are modern (leased) but you have some good points, office attitude ain’t the best and quite a lack of organisation and some of the trailers are in ■■■■order but payday is like clockwork and they are actually good for reimbursements if I spend and want the cash back.
I am frustrated at the mo now that you mention morale, loaded up out of sandbatch and office forgot to tell me that I can’t tip after 2 and will have to overnight and tip in morning which ■■■■■■me off as I was looking forward to home. They moved me into an arctic but have been cab hopping for over a month and now I’m back in an 8 legger again but still getting arctic rate so it’s not all bad.
Can’t knock them for taking me on as I never done tipper work or tramping work or arctic work and they took me on whereas most companies don’t even reply to a job ad so hats off to that.
Guess RoW is a marmite company so folks have to make up their own mind but I think they are usually after drivers, 8 legger and arctic I believe.
Apologies for rant, been a crap week from Monday morning so a bit frustrated!
Smiths of Gloucester are looking for drivers…I don’t know anything about them, just saw the advert earlier on Facebook…
Outside the Smiths depot in Tewks is a sign now asking for Class 1+2. That would be the closest depot to you.
Also for the benefit of people that don’t know i am a class 1 driver for Smiths

I would give it time! I was there 4+ years. Would I go back - No.
