I must admit that Mr Jobe does come across as having an air of arrogance about him but having said that, the written word can easily be misconstrued.
And whilst it is a bit of a generalisation, I have found that companies who tend to cover their trucks in these fairy lights do, generally, tend to take a pride in their appearance and accordingly the drivers do not see washing down their trucks at the end of a given period an issue. In fact, I would go onto say that they enjoy doing it. This is in a clear contrast to the massive haulage companies whoās trucks are not personalised.

Did you find the answer you were looking for, or did you loose the will to live before you got half way through reading some of that crap from so called ātruck driversā ? Classic example of why this country is down the pan and the Poles etc etc etc can walk into a job.
I wash my truck every time I leave the yard and I have a different truck every time I start from base.
If I have time when I run in, Iāll give it a quick once over with the jet wash too, I would hate pulling up at a delivery and having the dirtiest truck! Also all that dirt on the doors, arches etc gets on you clothes which you then take home.
Occasionally I have got in a truck and someone has cleaned it at the end of thier shift, which makes the start of my day so much better! However there is only me and one other driver I know that wash it on return religiously, most donāt even clean the mirrors on the way out nevermind when they return.
I have no issue with washing my truck at the end of a shift/week so long as itās done within my 13/15 hour shift.

All the trucks are licensed and insured for full european cover.
depending on work we could have 5 over there or none but i suppose on average we have 2 trucks over every week.
