Job Title: Bulk Driver -Class 1 HGV

An opportunity has arisen for Day Bulk Driver Class 1 HGV to join the team of one of the largest independent parcels, mail and logistics services company within the UK. Based in Greenford you will preferably have or be working towards your driver CPC and possess a digital tacho card. The position is immediately available and persons should be able to start with minimal notice.

As a HGV 1 - Days Bulk Driver your role is to transport freight within the business - generally between site and customers. Your duties will include:

  • To ensure that appropriate time frames are met in accordance with the company transport plan;
  • To assist in the loading of freight onto vehicles in accordance with the load plan and all Health and Safety SOMS;
  • To check the vehicle for defects and to complete all specified documentation prior to leaving site;
  • To comply with the requirements of the site, ensuring that deliveries are made in accordance with schedule;
  • When required, to move vehicles onto and offloading doors as requested;
  • Ensure strict adherence to tachograph regulations and safe driving on the national road network, in accordance with the Road Transport laws and regulations;
  • Assist with and undertake general warehouse duties when requested to do so;
  • Report vehicle or door defects immediately following the reporting procedure;
  • Assist in the unloading of vehicles when requested to do so;
  • Assist with fuelling of vehicles when requested to do so.
  • Be courteous and professional at all times especially at customer premises
  • Flexibility to change hours of work in accordance with business needs

Working hours for this role will be 10hrs per day with one hour break Monday to Friday plus a requirement for 2-3 hrs every Saturday which will be offset against the Monday working day. Working week will be Monday to Friday (09:30hrs - 19:30hrs) plus each Saturday for a nominal 2-3hrs which would mean a late start each Monday.

A 6 day week driving a class 1 in London for £22k? :unamused:

the way they get you in on a saturday morning for nowt,tells me enough i need to know about the company…thanx but no thanx :unamused:

And 5 mins down the road you can get £600 a week for 40 hrs delivering leaflets. But you need to be an ex con. Maybe go for an interview for the bulker job and smack the bloke in the mouth. Do the time then take the job delivering the leaflets :smiley:

Don’t want much for crap money do they.

Warehouse duties? flexible hours? every Saturday you just know will be more like 5 or 6 hours…oh and stick a brush up yer backside and sweep the floor as you mince about.

Wonder why the job needs to be advertised, locals probably know to avoid like the plague.
