Whats the best way to do job searches? Im doing all my searches online and 99% coming up with agencies , is it worth my while printing cv and going round local companies or do they prefer to use agency?.
Go knock on the door, introduce yourself, leave your details and tell them you’ll keep in touch. Make sure you’ve got basic PPE in your car together with night out bag just in case you get an immediate start.

Thanks , sounds better than sitting on pc looking at agency hounds . Im free Monday anyway lol . I have brand new ppe so ok there 
hi viz trousers , vest , bodywarmer , fleece , gloves , armbands ,hardhat , had to buy own beanie

well managed to get job with local builders supply yard , company put me through my hiab training so nice wee bonus , jobs ok but better or worse im staying put until I get my class 1 or my other half is going to sack me I think lol .
