Job for lay-by lovers

I may apply for that myself.
Since lockdown I’ve parked in places I would not normally park in,…including lay bys. :open_mouth:
My theory was I may as well,.as everywhere in the towns where you could get a meal is/was shut.
Jeez I even found myself in one AFTER lockdown was done, on Thursday night in fact, on the A303 at West Knoyle, I’m getting to be one of you cab happy hermits.
In mitigating circumstances it was right off the road with about 10 ft of grass verge between me and the road, so I haven’t gone ‘Full dozy’’ with my mirrors pulled in to stop them getting clipped…also it was stormy as ■■■■, so if I had parked somewhere sensible near to a town pub,.I would have got ■■■■ soaked.
Back to normal next week hopefully with the light nights, so I mebbys won’t apply for it just yet.

Btw…Why has this thread gone 'wide screen.?

If they are too tight arsed to pay parking, they deserve to get their fuel nicked, but worse they are prepared to put their drivers at risk, so not the type I’d be wanting to work for.

Tarmaceater:
I saw a kangaroo on the M1 southbound the other night , must have escaped from a zoo with Highways England giving chase.

i could swear I saw 2 little ones near the Nene river bridge (A47/A17) but upon closer inspection they turned out to be just rabbits :unamused:

A casual observer could be forgiven for thinking the sarcasm has gone into overdrive, but we’ve certainly got free-roaming wallabies up in the north and they’ve been spotted elsewhere too

Down south we just suffer from free-roaming wallies…
