hears my storie well i passed my class 1 last november and was ringing up haulage companies none stop but just kept getting told you need 2 years driving experience untill last friday morning when i phone up couts transport at immingham and he said come over to see me and bring your driving licence and driver tacho card so i went over to see him set down in his office and in took copys of my licence and drivers taco card then he said to give me you phone number and if i can get you insured and will phone you so i give him my phone number and said to him i look forward from hearing from you then at 5 oclock friday night i got a phone call from him is said i got you insured so the jobs yours well i was over the moon so i say to all the new drivers out there just keep looking and you will get there in the end.

It seems like he went out of his way to sort some insurance rather than just giving the standard answer.

Nice one Haulin , there are some companies out there that a recognise someone who is willing to learn and work hard he has seen that in you and decided your worth taking a chance on , well done , hope it all goes well

There’s nothing in our insurance about 2 years experience but it is totally inflexible on age for all vehicle classes.
