JMD Liverpool

Most people these days think of JMD as a container haulier, (which of course they are, now) but as with most hauliers they have had a go at other types of road haulage work over the years. Back in 1983 I started for them when they were only running 5 trucks working mostly flats & curtainsiders (most of which were converted to double deckers in 1984) on BXL plastics out of Bromborough.

I had a 1978 Sreg Sed-ack 400 sleeper with a 250 ■■■■■■■ when I started, this was soon replaced with this Daf 3300, it was an ex demo from North West Trucks and only 3 months old when I got it, it was JMD’s first truck with a night heater (mine as well :sunglasses: ) which was bought with the intention of running to Spain.

This was taken at one of the army sites around Bicester.
