My former navigator turned driver did the RAC this year, and actually does it every year in his MK2, but is in a different class to McRae.

The trouble, while it’s a lovely looking car, it has a BDG lump in, which detracts from it’s originality. I’m sure the RS1800 had a BDA lump in.

It’s not been owned by the family for a couple of years now . Putting anorak on :laughing: ,most of the works built Mk2s had BDG engines from new , I know mine did .
