Here we go…
and while we’re at it, lets have speed limiters fitted to cars.

‘…40mph truck speed limit debate…’
More “us versus them” niff-naff that serves to encourage grass-root prole’s having today’s subject to squabble over - along with the ‘Thatcher Death Party Kit’ good-or-bad thing debate.
The proven bias of the BBC thus serves to keep the Government safe by absorbing Joe Public’s outrage - when such outrage really ought to be directly addressed to elected politicians - not Jeremy Whine, the wind-up-by-polarising Pest
Meanwhile, the elected leaders sit back and do as they ■■■■ well please - which is to ignore matters of the people while they can idly manipulate ‘giving’ (read: unaccountably wasting) our taxes away backstage
Increase Speed limits on major A roads for lorries to 50 mph - epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/38003
Now 40mph is a dangerous speed to be sitting at and to expect lorry’s grossing at 44 ton to pull in and out of lay-bys is out of this world the cost to a company on fuel and wear and tear and not to mention dangerous with the places some of these lay-by are,
And if they don’t pull in you have impatient motorist pulling dangerous moves on some of the UK deadliest road,
I’m calling on the department of transport to look at this law of 40mph and up the speed limit to at least 50mph
safer more economical and would make the road alot more hassle free for everyone
Regardless of any speed limit for a car or HGV, there will always be somebody behind who wants to go faster. Some people just can’t stand not having a clear road in front of them. Just down the road from me is a 30mph road, I do 30mph and everybody hates it. I know if I was doing 40mph people would still want to do 45mph
If you wanted to do the 40mph speed limit so as not to lose you license, do you think you would still have a job. Or do you go up and down the 69, 66, 9 the 1 etc etc playing dodge the rozzer, with the odd brown trouser that was close moment, even though you really don’t want to.

Yes Keith I play “I can see you” as well but they don’t give two SLF’s. Bread and circuses has worked for millennia or they start a “really big fight” to thin numbers. Anything you win in the big fight they keep.
