I used to work for Diver Hire in Stockport, its run by two guys who are good lads…Mike and Dan they keep you in work as much as poss.
But like most agencies the work dries up over crimbo and into feb.

Wesley is only Wesley during the weekend. During t week his name is Mike (or Dan)
Jark is next to ASDA in Warrington. Usual stuff, full of hot air (according to my mate who was with them). They’d give him work and then take it off him ! They are another agency that have lost the ASDA work (just like my agency) in favour of HG who I have heard have taken too much work on and haven’t got the drivers to cover the work and so keep letting ASDA at Skem down, of course this is hearsay and may not be true.
I’m I a suspicious Sally that I find it odd that someone’s first post is to advertise or big up an agency. I hate it when people think your this gullible. Could of at least raised his posting numbers first.
Lets just say
I DON’T THINK JARK ARE ANY GOOD. THEY WERE CRAP 4 YEARS AGO AND I CAN’T SEE THAT IT’S CHANGED.
Bloody hell I was only trying to help Wesley is a tanker driver for Bulk Haul actually and I have been for 2 years…for my sins. had my experiences with agencies some really good and some terrible, dont really wanna go back to them unless I’m on the bones of my arse!
Jark used to be called Aptus and before that it was Initial
I was with the Jark branch at Hull for a good few years. Never had a problem with them and they backed me up with one company who expected me to run bent but like all agencies, it is highly dependent on who is working at a particular branch as to whether it is good or bad. It could be the Hull one was good but the Leeds one wasn’t or even the Hull one was good until the person on the driver desk left.
TBH asking whether Driver Hire is good or Manpower is good or whatever is a waste of time. You need to ask about the particular branch in your area.
I’m with jark at the minute and there a good agency for myself, they never let me down and always have work on offer for me regularly, they’ve never messed my wages up and always pay on time

Mummy said so.

Been looking for work in the northwest area and every other job seems to be offered thru Jark. I been with my agency for years and so have never heard of these. Anyone know anything good or bad?
I was with Jark in Warrington for a good while, seemed okay and never had any issues with them at all
they pay you through dodgy umbrella scam at warrington wouldnt touch um with someone elses
Is that what that employ e is? How does that work then? I wondered why I got my wage slips online off them

Not from there, so don’t know the company…
But are these jobs real ones? Or potential jobs that bait the line for another agency fishing expedition?
Jark ■■?
Think the name alone would put me off
sounds too much like shark for me!
I work for Creyfs in Hull and they’ve been bought out by Jark. The Creyfs staff have already moved into the JArk offices and there’ll be a name change in a couple of weeks.
Already the change has been noticable by the complete lack of work.
Looks like Jark have been on a bit of a buying spree.
Sounds a bit like CIP recruitment, who bought out Future People, who I worked for. The work dried up, first the people in charge of transport kept leaving, then the transport staff got moved to Coventry… virtually nothing after that.
I left after a while. I got my first call off them in four months last week, asking if I wanted to stay on their books…
Of course, I am now in a perm job, tramping, so I told them (politely) where to go.
Agency buyouts, Chaos In Progress.
You may, of course, do better if you are actually signing on with the head office of the agency doing the buying… but often the bigger they are, the worse they are.
Agreed. At least at my agency now they even ask how the missus is and mean it. Just keeping my options open.
