The trailer looks like it might be the one I had at Blackburns and Ashworths got when Blackburns folded.

Ididnt know they had a yard in Liverpool where abouts ? Iwas talking to Ralph Smith the other day after some photos of his seddon and his F88 loaded with wool for my book ; hewas telling me he used to subbie for ashworth when the wool job was slow but hed no photos.
What about ashworths otheryard ?Denholme? There must have been half a dozen units parked up in the village when i went through on a saturday afternoon.Have u seen this Peter Davies picture of 2 bradford wool, lorries
Also this Longs motor my dad had 1 identical to it both pictures are copyrights so cant be used

eh up young dave thanks for asking about him he still not well still as bad as ever been to see him today i remember jack wood he still talks about the good times with ashys i remember once going to germany with my dad donald grice and woody woody had an f88 or f89 lefthooker not got ashys name on it think they got it from a firm called dcd white painted with orange &blue stripe around it ill tel him you were asking about him when i go next week .Thanks steve for getting back to me about your dad i new him along time before i worked at Ellisons but got to know better like said on my last post when i worked with him at Ellisons.One story was when he went to Italy with the Scania 112 he had, he took wrong turn,desides to turn round in field gets stuck.Little lad turns up asks your dad if he wants help your dad said if you can. Lad go’s away about an hour later half the village turn out with fire engines, police ,brakedown trucks the lot your dad thought it was hilarous they got him out and never charged in a dime they must have thought it was agood excerise.He loved going to Italy personly i never liked the place.Steve do you know if is old mate Vic’s still about.

Idont know where the photo was taken probably down south,the book is coming on steadily and making progress i,ve about 150 photos to sort through ,i,m going to be of work for 8 weeks starting in sept so i should be getting near with it.I,ll keep you informed.

Yes i have a few ,i,m going to see Andrew Long sometime soon i understand he has quite a selection of the firms old photos.
