I was on the Santander ferry last week and heard that Jag Joe (Brian) has had his licence suspended because of a heart problem,and if anyone has any contact with him please wish him a quick recovery.
I first met Brian in 1984 when on my first trip to the middle east,he helped me through all the borders and taught me a lot, and has been a good friend ever since, but i have lost his phone number.
In 84 he was driving a mack for Howell and Taylor from Blackburn and until a few weeks ago he was still driving for Eric Howell (now G.E.H.) so he has been with them for a long time, any of us that know him will admit that he is a real character and always good for a good discussion.
The old git told me in March last that he was retiring in June when he is 75 but he did,nt.
