Jacksons, Long Buckby

Sure i’ve seen that one of the members on here works for Charles Jackson so was hoping for some advice. One of our drivers is going down there tomorrow with a load of organic wheat but the problem is his trailer is 13ft high and I can’t remember how high the bridge is if you go into it from the A5. I know i’ve been under it at 12ft 7" and if I remember rightly the bridge is actually signed as being less than it is. If he is unable to go under that bridge is there another way for him to get into it? cheers.

The Big Un used to work for them…he’ll be along in a minute im sure

You rang lol
What do you need tto know mate
You can get under the bridge in a Man XXL so i your 13 ft trailer will be fine mate

That bridge being the one you go under at Long Buckby wharf is it and then you follow it all the way past the railway station and Jacksons is on the left if I remember?

You come off the A5 through the Wharf under bridge get in the middle go along the straight before you get to the village there is a layby on the right. You need to turn left look for the score marks in the road down the concrete drive weigh in on left hand weigh bridge walk to the weigh bridge office across the yard.Oh and no looking down Pippas cleavage

Just looked in my AA truckers atlas and its not showing buckby as a low bridge.
The road goes under the canal, railway and M1 all within a few yards.

The railway bridge signs change on different signs but its an arched bridge you go over the canal and under the railway bridge then under the M1 in the space of a 100 yards

Cleavage you say?!?!?! Bugger, it’s not me thats going down with the load!! Our old lad will have a heart attack if he gets a glimpse!!

Shes about 20 and very nice lol he doesnt want to be there much before 7 they are not the quickest to start in the mornings

Bloody hell I shall have to request a run down there at some stage! He isn’t loading till half 7 near Pontefract so won’t be down first thing anyway. I’ve been there once before and i’m sure there was a foreign girl working in the weighbridge/lab?
