jacknife!

that’s the first time that I’ve seen one that did’nt just support the status quo by just making some idiotic personal attack against anyone who raises the issues.

Is that some idiotic personal attack against me, or posters in general?

The driver who made the video was so lucky that there was nothing following the jackknifing truck. No wonder he was breathing heavy.

It looked to me as if the truck driver intended to overtake the van on a blind bend, and changed his mind too late. Unless he was on a mobile of course. The road didn’t look that slippery. Everyone else stopped okay.

I expect some here will suggest that it was the van driver’s fault for going too slowly.

Zb hell I can’t zb win.No it was’nt anything to do with you at all.I was making a point concerning the comparisons through history between the advantages between doing the job properly or taking short cuts when it comes to building a navy or building a truck. In fact you then agreed with me.Fly sheet was almost right I was just making a point against those who choose to have a go at someone (me not you) instead of making a decent argument to back up their case.Planet Carryfast in this case would mean that the Hood would have had some decent deck armour,we would have gone to the Falklands with a decent aircraft carrier like the old 1960’s HMS Eagle or two with some Phantoms instead of mickey mouse boats without any catapults which only had some mickey mouse planes which could’nt catch their own shadow. That and artic tractor units with more than one drive axle and no brakes on the front wheels. :bulb:

But the bit I don’t get is if saving the money which would have been needed to do the job properly was that important, then even with the boats we did have and the amount of fuel those Harriers got through, let alone some proper ships and a load of Phantoms, the costs of Maggie’s little argument were probably more than the place was worth. It would have been cheaper to have given everyone living there a million pounds and let the argys keep the place. :open_mouth:  Applying that logic maybe that’s why they want to leave all the road transport to foreign drivers, using single drive axle artics, like that kamikaze in that bonkers video. :open_mouth:
