Well, at least we saved the NHS and countless lives, rite?
Bosses will be rubbing their hands together knowing there are desperate drivers out there willing to work for NMW right through.
There goes the wage increase that has steadily happened the last couple of years.
134 now [emoji38]
Although I’ve aimed for Fakenham, thinking I’d hopefully get some free spuds off the land to boost the wage should they
not notice my typo ‘cough, 3yrs cough experience’ and I get too the golden challis [emoji16]

Some one I know of went for it but didn’t know that after being away all week they had to completely empty the cab, then sanitizer it in case it’s used by someone else for the weekend. He passed on it.
Odd days:

I used to clear up dead bodies, so that’s nae worry to me…
Besides I thought JR had hired a specific ‘person’ to do that, I made a big point on this one not many month ago, strangely it went unnoticed, may have been coz I mentioned…
Specialised infection control operatives cost a bit more than 8.50ph…[emoji38] [emoji38]

This is metas wood Boston at a guess ? I was based there a while ago , there was a full compliment of drivers there when I left , I’d of thought in the event of a company taking over a contract from another company they’d normally tupe the existing drivers over , did this not happen , seems not if there advertising for drivers
As for 130 apx applicants , I managed 2 weeks , 4 days there , and according to a few on here I’m deemed to be a yes man who will put up with any old ■■■■ , so how many of the 130 apx will stick it !!
I’m not sure about the big deal is going on about wood , all your doing is throwing straps over it , 8/10/12 whatever , ratchet it up and off you go , not rocket science !!
Best of luck to Benji though at a guess if your going for Fakenham you’ll only go into Boston / Widnes/ kings Lyn etc if your in the area
I was only there apx 2 weeks & from what I could see the lorries were not used at the weekend unless your shift included it or you wanted to work a extra shift , mine wasn’t used
Nb I wasn’t employed by jr when I was there

Good man keep the hunt going never give up
Cheers blokes[emoji16]
Lol I’ve no chance, but I’ve nowt to lose as usual except a no, again[emoji38]
I can drive, well, and I really do take hgv serious, it is my driving love outside of fast cars.
I’ve near 20yrs driving under me, cars, vans, company motor’s, vans, shunting of pcvs, hgvs, and now finally a bit on the wagons on the actual road.
And I’m proud to say in all that time I’ve had ONE accident a month after I passed me test, which wasn’t even my fault and resulted in ZERO outcome other than me beloved 1st car needing £500 squids repairs, farmer paid 300 of it too lol.
Yeah I’ve had points over my time lol, sadly I’m no daisy as fast cars are in me blood, but I’ve NEVER had any convictions for anything except no mot( a joke as it was booked in lol and they could see it ffs) many many years ago.
Licence is clean and I’m well over 25 so what’s the problem?
My rents ran a small haulage firm, they NEVER dismissed anyone, no matter how new or seasoned as they knew how to spot a driver from a screwing one and could see that without a chance, you can’t get experience, and it payed off with only one…(external driver)…accident for them in all they’re years and he was SEASONED!!
I’m so ■■■■ sick of being passed over or dismissed because of this BS experience ■■■■■■
I’m no yes man but I’ll graft, I wanna learn, I wanna drive, and I love haulage, I’ve beyond every attribute a firm could ever ask for, yet all I need is a door.
I had one for February but covid killed that, and since I’ve applied for tens of dozens, even though I still hope maybe my last offer may come good again still in time as they stated it could subsequent to economic upturn…
I’ve offered to pay towards hiab, even full ADR ffs to many firms advertising, still nothing, not even a we’ve had a read.
I FULLY understand/respect there are plenty of proper experienced guys out looking now thanks to covid but when the same old ■■■■■ firms who even the desperate won’t touch obviously ain’t filling seats then what’s the issue giving us new guys a shot, what scared we may actually be worth more than 8.50 once we clock onto your ■■■■■■
Aaah ■■■■ knows man, but, applying for hgv work is now my low second choice sadly, I’ve apps in on vans amongst others, and I’ve mates with eyes an ears for me so maybe that’ll get me a way in, or I’m doing as I do and aiming WELL above me weight to glory boys, and jobs well ouuta my league.
Oooor in the case of JR, the odd small blags…[emoji38]

Dunno Dozey, didn’t say what contract it was.
Least Jack Richards runs decent tackle.
You tried Maritime Benjie? I’d say that jobs a doddle in any of their work & the kit is always mint AF.
