J24 M1 diversion needed

Hi all,

my co-driver and I usually head south using the M6 and then on to the M1 for our final destination and reverse the route homeward bound but due to the night closures of the M6 between J7-J10 north bound we are looking for a way to use the A50 westbound but we have run into a snag as J24 of the M1 is closed until march.

is there a way to get on to the A50 westbound as the diversion signs are highly misleading. it doesn’t seem to be possible to cut across from J23A to the A50 as they have partially close the A453… and there are no updates regarding the A50 westbound from the M1.

all our travelling is done at night and I think the road is only closed during that period of time.

any help would be really appreciated

Carry on upto jct25 down the A52 into Derby then A511 to the A6 pick up the signs for A50 you’ll join the A50 @ jct2 ,will add about 20 mins into your drive though.
