Hi,
As above have problems with 6 X 2 Eurostar (no jokes please) when unladen with roadhandling especially on roundabouts when wet. Its not a midlift. Can it be a problem with loadsensing valve etc?
Thanks in advance.

More info needed, what does it do, when does it do it etc
it sounds like its got the same problem my 6x2 eurotech 440 has got twitchy as hell in the wet corners roundabouts etc etc mine has just gone into iveco today because on the bank of switchs in the centre console there are buttons (looks like lift axle buttons) one timed one permanent they are supposed to deflate the air bags on the 2nd steer thus putting more pressure on the drive axle thus more traction it aint working on mine its the same set up as the man ive got and it does make a big difference check thats working properly

Hi, its not good on corners and roundabouts in the wet, wants to continue in a straight line when unladen, and loss of traction, similar to Lee Mats Eurotech.

Lee, It has the timed switch. I think its 30 seconds, but not the permanent switch. Do you know if this can be retrofitted, or is there a kit from Iveco to add the permanent switch.
Thanks for your replies.
The poor traction issue sounds like the load sensing between the second steer and the drive axle is NFG, but a twin steer should corner like it’s on rails, in fact if the drive axle isn’t pushing down enough a twin steer could go sideways like a crab.
Is the difflock in? The switch may be off, or at least say that it’s off, it is an IVECO, so you never know
The other thing that springs to mind is speed, it could be as simple as going too fast
i think its standard seen a few with them the switch is right next to the timer one in a bank of four but god knows with iveco could of just been diconnected have a look behind the dash got all sorts sorted havin a rumage in this one mines being a pig went into iveco with a fault of not been able to dump air out of the 2nd steer came out with nothing working at all no air in any of the 4 bags off the road again p.s did you find the fuses for the radio there not in the most obvious place
Been a while since i drove mine regularly but tbh it was always lairy on corners when solo and a complete ■■■■■■■ in the wet.
why dont you midlift the iveco coz like most twin steers their crap when it gets wet axle up less problems even better when its lifted fully loaded during the crap weather we get just now

I’ve always found the opposite to be true. I’ve never had the slightest problem with any 6X2 twin steer truck when it comes to handing on wet roads, roundabouts etc but ordinarry non-twin steer mid lifts, especially Merc Actros’s are lethal with the axle down in the same conditions.

I’m going to agree with you…ther’es a first
Twin steers corner like they’re on rails, wet or dry, pushers or tags on the other hand, are a bloody nightmare for understeering in the wet
