Iveco Eurocargo Night Heater

I have a 18 tonner eurocargo with a eberspacher night heater its just a dial type switch beside the handbrake that goes from 0 to 4.

Problem is it runs fine but when left on during the night it doesnt come on and off itself to regulate the heat.

i have to turn it back to 0 wait for a bit then turn it up to 4 when it comes on runs its cycle and thats it

any ideas of what i can do to have it come on and off it self so a set heat is maintained all night

I’ve never heard of anything in an ivecco not working as it should.

have a look around the air intake and ensure that nothing is blocking it, if it is then the unit will overheat and close down, likewise ensure that the heater unit has a bitof space around it and isnt covered in all manner of junk which will also cause it to overheat.
