Ive never had the botox to do it!

At the moment we run at 56mph top speed. ( bare with me ). The limit is 60mph… All sat navs are more accurate that our speedo’s, Mine says at 56 mph indicated on the speedo i’m actually doing 52 on the sat nav…

The taco above my head ( big brother)…

Ive never gone above 56mph ( small balls ) indicated on the dash speedo, at what point will it have a huge hissy fit. ■■
57 mph speedo indicated ? OR 60mph speedo indicated ? OR 60mph true speed (sat nav)…

Cheers guys…

61 mph speedo indicated. Though I doubt it’ll say much (the tacho might throw an event up though). That’s 98 kph. It might flash or something. Find out!

Tacho will flash over speed, on mine if (when) I exceed 60 for more than a minute or two.

I think Sat nav Speed is accurate. Tacho i don’t know. Normal Speedo is offset by manufacturers for drivers (manufacturers) protection. You think u doink 56 but no, ur few miles below it.

GPS is Extremely accurate.

Only if the weather and other conditions are good. Try using your Nav in a tunnel. In the tunnels under Boston USA your navs as good as a chocolate tea pot

Your tacho will probably put up overspeed warning if you go about 56mph for 30s or more, then if you continue you’ll get a proper overspeed warning. Both are simply indications your going faster than your speed limiters set at.

We have 2 trucks set at 52, and 56. In the 52 I get tacho flashing warnings for fun on downhills

I ignore when I’m going down M62 hills as I can get to 60+ easy when loaded.

I brake and keep it under 60 as why invite trouble.

Legal limit 60 on motorways so couldn’t care less any more if I go above limiter speed and it throws up warnings, so what. I will keep it legal though at 60.

It self-destructs at 85(mph).

Overspeed…Overspeed.

Speed limiters and tachos are accurate. The reason that some trucks creep past others with apparently half a mile an hour gain can be down to tyre wear and pressures. When the speed limiter is calibrated, it states the tyre size, tread depth and pressure.

Another bit of useless information; the reason that trucks are limited to 56 (max) but we have a 60 limit is that the speed limiter rules are set in EU but the speed limits are UK.

What is Farage’s policy on this?

Leave the EU, of course! :grimacing:

I seem to get overspeed flash up at 58/59!!! :frowning:  :exclamation:
