I've got all my driving categories back

I’ve recently renewed my HGV licence (which I allowed to lapse in 2009) and have been concerned reading cases of people not recovering categories for which they’ve passed their test due to DVLA “forgetting” certain of those categories.

So my last concern with the whole revival/renewal process was that this might happen to me.

Well, although I don’t actually have my new licence delivered yet I just visited the DVLA licence enquiry page and input my details and voila! CE is back on there :smiley:

Smashing! I’ll just wait for the actual card before I inform prospective employers of my re-entitlement.

Welcome back, I doubt much has changed, although that big stick and left peddle is missing in most trucks now.

Hi mate,
Have you got your driver CPC (the card of nonsense) ?

are you aware that from september 9th you need one to continue driving ?

I might be stating the obvious but as you haven’t been driving for a while…

Thanks michael.d.s I have booked 5 courses before the end of August. So if all goes well I’ll have things sorted in time :slight_smile:

Makes a difference as many think not getting it means they lose the licence
